The False Song

The False Song

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

The False Song

at the peak

of an abyss,

because we feed ourselves

unto a vat of endless wrongs

this world says offer up your soul unto

anyone or anybody for they're your passions

but they speak nothing about our bonds

for this place sings no truths nor kind songs

I've read a lot of your listed poems and I'm really impressed at how you say so much with such few words.
I particularly like this one because it rings so true. "Wrong" is promoted as right and the damage that will come from participation is ignored or hidden. Said so well in so few words.
