Innocent Yesteryears

Innocent Yesteryears

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Innocent Yesteryears

within the night they
both did come alive,

out on the town they
were rightfully swept,

dancing and dinner was
surely their prized time

and together they found
one another as fresh as
their innocent yesteryears

Brings to mind youthful care-free court-ship days of yesteryear.
Those were the days my friend.
Such a beautiful way to bring back memories.
Love it.
