American Dreamings

American Dreamings

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

American Dreamings

unmuzzle
my mouth

don't i
   got

the right
   to

speak free
(without
restraint)

about my
religion,
feelings,
fears
or sexuality
(God forbid)
i mean
isn't this
America
(land of
the dreaming)
