Ascension

Ascension

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Ascension

dirt and concrete

forming the walls,

and now, climbing up

towards the blue skies,

reaching higher still,

never choosing any limits...

we'd gather here daily, ready,

for our chance at ascension

"never choosing any limits... for our chance at ascension." My favorite phrases, it gives a sense of hope, yet an overall tone of despair. Very well done, keep it up.
