Such Suffering Never Helps

Such Suffering Never Helps

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Such Suffering Never Helps

the adoration builds

and we let it come close

to a mighty overflowing,

because if we were to stop it

could it somehow start to die...

surely no one wants that pain, truthfully,

but often we are too fond of causing

such strange and sad self-destructions

with our hearts beating tirelessly

and  through everything

At times we are our own best friend and one's own worse enemy. Shelly
