Into the Abyss

Into the Abyss

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Into the Abyss

why, must the years

go creeping by, and with

nothing to show, nor having

any merit of worthiness,

we gaze into the bright eyes

of some distant ugly being

who only lives to devour

upon pretty much everything...

leaving flesh to rot, and our

souls it will take, back to its abyss
