Tough as it Was

Tough as it Was

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Tough as it Was

tough as

it was

we still

chose

to enter

this world,

being born

into pain

and roughly

rolling therein,

we face

each day

with bitter

faces crying...

but surely

something matters,

maybe even

tomorrow'll smile

upon our

tired souls,

with a shining

of consuming divinity
