Shot at HopeA Poem by James K. BlaylockShot at Hope
why, tell me, why's your gun pointing,
it's aimed right at my bleeding heart,
and you've no mercy for anything, anymore...
sweet child, where did your humanity, sadly go;
did this world eat it all away, as it ripped out your loving soul,
what'd happen if you try to gain it back, using acts of kindness,
could this heal those filthy wounds, and leaving only clear scars of knowing,
all I'm sure of is hope, and it grows wild with nurturing
