Brave, Through and Through

Brave, Through and Through

A Poem by James K. Blaylock
"

I'm so proud to have written this piece, and also, that it's going to be included in an upcoming novel.

"

Brave, Through And Through

well out

into battle

they go,

a man

and his

best friend,

just ducking

and dodging...

fighting the

good fight,

and hoping

to see

tomorrows' light,

and now

praying mightily

to again

be with

loving  family,

but never

forgetting

their duty

A simple, well worded and movingtribute to our soldiers in the military...I like the sparseness of your words...less is always more!!

it gives a feeling of fighting for what you believe in, you can't go wrong there...when something more important is calling you. i'm not an advocate of war, i think a lot of people enlist and wish they hadn't, but i don't put anyone down for doing it.

This is so true to many love ones around the world.
Very touching.
I don't believe I've ever reviewed anything of yours, so
I thought I would see what type of writer you are all about.

Keep up the good work...AD

This is great, the words have a form that captures the meaning, to fight the good fight,
some nice analogies here captured with simplistic nature, I enjoyed reading this poem thanks.

Fine tribute to our men/women in the military, "A MAN AND HIS BEST FRIEND" a friend that could possibly be a woman. That is the vision I got, maybe since I know of one woman who has had to leave her family to go "INTO BATTLE".
Great write James.
