Up, Up and Away (Skyward)

Up, Up and Away (Skyward)

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Up, Up and Away (Skyward)

with our faith,

no bigger than a tear.

how do we see,

anything coming to pass,

or are we only seeking

after, well, nothing really

but still, we'd offer up,

a hope and a prayer...

sending them skyward

Defining faith- to offer up hope and prayer, beliefs ascending skyward, I like the way you titled this poem" Up, Up and Away, as that in itself creates a feeling of soaring through the sky like wind, to ponder the size of a teardrop being related

to ideal, yet coming to terms with the realistic nature of life, wondering what brings about cause and effect, James reading this poem, there is a depth that reveals itself in a most subtle of ways, yet the overall impact reflects the spririted

meaing, and that being, perhaps how outlook shapes what it is the heart is faced with on a daily basis, and what it means to strive and succeed when confronted with adversity, with a pindrop of hope, one has the means to overcome, nicely written

Yes, we all offer up a prayer. Yet, I wonder how many people actually do it. How many are just saying it as a form of consolation to someone in pain. I have actually prayed for many, but after reading your piece here, I wonder how many others have done the same.
