Linger Not

Linger Not

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Linger Not

walking down this

many bricked path,

going along without

a humming song

and I notice, that these

man-made stones speak...

singing of some

kind of miseries,

and calling to be

gathered all up, but

I dare not bend my knees,

nor, stare too long, because

this journey, is stretching...

and only God knows, when it'll truly end,

but, if I linger long enough, in the one spot

perhaps, I just may never find my way

Brick by brick we can choose to build a foundation of stability or let it crumble to the ground in a pile of sand, find your way through the rubble and keep searching for growth.Shelly

Sweet--I really like this--it's the kind of stuff that makes you stop and think--are goals really worth it--why not just stop here forever...can't we just sit in place?

I've read this several times now and enjoyed it each time,

"this journey, is stretching...
and only God knows, when it'll truly end,
but, if I linger long enough, in the one spot
perhaps, I just may never find my way"

Great job!!
