The Power of Trust

The Power of Trust

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

The Power of Trust

who's left to trust,

when everyone claims

no responsibility...

and is it just

to blame the world's downfall

solely on the poor economy

When it's all said and done, our lives are our responsibility (Thank you, TMiller).

It's hard to imagine the settlers of this country complaining about the government not providing their horses with hay or horse-shoes. They didn't believe it was the government's responsibility to educate their children or pay for their retirement or provide their health-care... it was up to them whether they lived or died, for cryin' out loud!

We have to curb our spending a bit and maybe miss a vacation or have to pass on a double latte and our world falls apart.
Phil Gramm was exactly right that this nation is filled with a bunch of whiners.

We have moved far away from the rugged individualism that made this country great and I'm not sure we left enough clues on the trail to find our way back.

Thank you for this James.

And folks? How 'bout taking some personal responsibility for yourself...

Please!!!

We each have a responsibility for our own lives. Its funny when people complain about their government but don't vote. We need change and we are the ones to make it happen!!! Well done as usual!

Well, this certainly is a timely read here. All those in a position of authority are denying it's their fault that the price of fuel if skyrocketing out of control. But then, when all is said and done, on the the final day, does it really matter whose fault it is?
