Facing Death

Facing Death

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Facing Death

was it

ever understood,

that sooner

or later

we'll all

face death...

or were

we forced

to learn

from happening

I am very moved by this one...EXTREMELY meaningful in so little of lines. I lost my mother and my husband lost his as well not too long ago and I think my fear of dying and awareness of passing has heightened so much because of this...Great write.

the last lines, i'm curious:

were
we forced

to learn
from doing

is it about people killing people?
