with just a tiny flicker,

the whole place went from bright to grey,

and alls we could do, was hope for better days...

Interesting view on life but quite accurate nonetheless. I always find it interesting in how just a few short lines you're able to portray something that it would take most people so many more lines and words to describe. Nice write.
