The Stoner

The Stoner

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

The Stoner

small boy, can't

you even see,

that little are you,

and huge is he...

but with your tiny stone,

you'd send it flying home

and there in his forehaed, it'd

surely stay, after striking him dead on this day

From the title, I didn't expect the poem to read as it does. My warped imagination, I suppose. The moral behind this poem is very strong. Thank you for sharing

hey James!
you even see (do we naturally place emphasis on `you`?) is it intentional?
forehaed
the last two lines seem to stumble (rythmically) a bit, but I have no suggestions...
the bigger they are... (is it the farther they have to fall?)
thanks again

This sounds like the story of Goliath. Oh my gosh, I was laughing so hard...thinking of that giant laying on the ground--out like a light! Cool title. haha. This is a very inspirational poem! I guess we should never underestimate the power of one little stone. Wow, this is great. I'm saving it to my favorites, James!
