Holding Out This Hand

why have we not spoken,

can't you see that we're

only growing more distant...

and all I truly crave is to

somehow recollect, our once was,

but I'd never demand your heart again;

instead I'd simply hold out this hand

now I'm praying hard, that I've not become

so opaque unto your tender eyes, and

beyond any form of understanding

Very nice... letting one know you will still be there for them even though your love has been misplaced.

Great work! I like the final stanza - praying that you have not become opaque. Very poignant.

As always, lovely. The use of enjambment was done to perfection and added that nice flow.
