Longing for Winter's Kiss

Longing for Winter's Kiss

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Longing for Winter's Kiss

bring down

those soft

white flakes,

atop my

icy head

and chilled

shoulders...

for it

truly is

the winter

 -time;

and I

long

to taste

the snow

Again, great contrast in such a short space. Your theme is winter, cold and depressing, but you "long to taste the snow", a hopeful finish. Enjoyed it very much.
