Numbing The Pain

Numbing The Pain

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Numbing The Pain

 sell your

  sex

young girl;

becoming numb

to everything...

and shameless

to all,

who pay

I just read a little bit of a book called, "Alice's Story" and it follows the life of a 15 year old girl who becomes addicted to drugs...the page that I happened to open up to said, "Another day, another blow job" and reading this straight after that, made your writing have an even bigger impact on me. In between your scarceness of details you allow readers to draw from what they already know and to fill in the blanks.
I love how you involve us, as responders and make us think, to question and to realise that such reality depicted in words, exists in the physical.
:D Nice job!

That is something.. sassy
Red light pain..
Sad.. i feel for any person
who would have to resort
to such for drugs...
Captured in portrait effect
Vivid expression

A few words can have so much meaning, and so many meanings behind and in between them.
