Becoming a Man

Becoming a Man

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Becoming a Man

make me

  into

a real

  man;

even if

I'm only,

  six...

for it's

a father's

wish to

break

a young

will, completely

I saw this as an abuse..
but reminded me of a father
taking his child on a hunting trip and forcing the
child to shoot a dear..
breaking innocence..
intense.. I really like
how you leave the meanings
open to specific interpretation
