Bloodthirsty

Bloodthirsty

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Bloodthirsty

tonight speaks of

many fevered dreams,

but we chose this

mighty shelter's safety;

as outside, it bites

at the tail of anything...

for nothing is sacred

to the bloodthirsty

I will have to agree with Robert this was such a uniquely different piece, loved the different dimension you brought to the things that bite. As always I am a huge fan of your works, you just seem to have this talent of saying so much in so little words. Not anybody can get away with that, that is why you are such a brilliant writer.

Very eerily dark piece with an interesting end, leaving open so many possibilities for your readers.
I loved it

nothing is sacred to the blood thirsty
Those who dwell in the shadows
and down dark alleys,
summoning vision-
the passion is clearly felt
with specific intention
Stellar word painting
