Bloodthirsty

Bloodthirsty

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Bloodthirsty

tonight speaks of

many fevered dreams,

but we chose this

mighty shelter's safety;

as outside, it bites

at the tail of anything...

for nothing is sacred

to the bloodthirsty

I will have to agree with Robert this was such a uniquely different piece, loved the different dimension you brought to the things that bite. As always I am a huge fan of your works, you just seem to have this talent of saying so much in so little words. Not anybody can get away with that, that is why you are such a brilliant writer.

Very eerily dark piece with an interesting end, leaving open so many possibilities for your readers.
I loved it

Truly an interesting piece. I love the flow of thought and the purposeful way you wrote this. Such a heavy story that this piece leaves resting in my head. Imagining the most horrible of things. I truly enjoy when someone can cause my thoughts to be come crowded with thoughts I had not had before i read the piece. Taking my imagination to somewhere I had not thought of venturing myself. You really left a haunting thought in my mind and gave me enough to capture a story on my own.

Well Done!!!!!!

Short and sweet....I love it.

The first lines are my favorite. Reminds me of a dragon on the prowl in the wee hours of the morning.
