Slipping Away (No More, No Less)

Slipping Away (No More, No Less)

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Slipping Away (No More, No Less)

how often

do we give, because

this is our only chance

slipping sluggishly away;

and tomorrow offers

no more, no less...

to give and know the future holds no promise, as in to live for the day and appreciate the things here
and now because tommarow is never promised, a wise messege here james, leaves the reader
with an added sense of knowledge, expressing universal insight mostg people can relate to,
it a great to be able to read edifying poetry, as this depthfully powerful reflection clearly shows,
thanks for sharing, one should only be, at the least, grateful to read such understandings

I have just read the comment below following my reading of this poem. The poem has delightfully left me quizzical unlike the reader below. But the little question mark within is most comfortable and pleasant. You write with a certain "lightness of being" which I find most satisfying.

Today is all we have so we may as well give what we can. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. I like the message you convey here.

Good write!

tomorrow offers, no more, no less.
Those words are so hauntingly true, yet at the same time we wonder what will tomorrow bring ?
Great write.
