Shameful Parent

Shameful Parent

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Shameful Parent

where did my writings go,

were they kidnapped

to another form of space...

for they are my children;

and I'm a shameful parent

So, you want to take the blame for losing your work? Why that would be almost like taking responsibility for how your young'uns turn out.

Say it ain't so!
There be plenty of responsibility to go around, mate... (don't you love it when a bear talks "pirate-ese"?)

Your quite prolific my friend... just keep 'em comin'!

OMG James, Short but powerful alright. I am sorry you lost so much. Yes, one's writings are very near and dear to the heart. It is a great loss. This piece packs a strong punch and is perfectly executed, my friend!!!

I feel the hurt. Your writings are your children. Wow. I'm so sorry, and you worded this piece perfectly. Rain..

I wasn't around for the great delete but I have heard all about it. I feel your pain! Great way of expressing yourself!

How witty! Your words were your responsibility, why did you lose them? : )

I like this, how you combine the comparison of words, and parentry. Amazing!

So sorry for your loss, i was lucky I had only just joined and lost 2 poems, that felt bad enough but I learnt a lesson too...... BACK UP your work, I have a file on my computer where I keep my work. I don't think you need to feel shameful, it was a big shock to find everything gone overnight. I like this poem short and to the point.

AMEN! :) This is going on my profile. This is really fun, even though "The Great Delete" was NOT. :S I can definitely relate, because I didn't know quite how many poems and other works I didn't have saved anywhere else. Once again, A GREAT MASTERPIECE!

I'm so sorry for your shame, but none needed. It was a shock to all. It doesn't seem like anything is bringing them back. I'm so sorry for your huge loss. I wish they could find them somewhere.
There are Martians loving your poetry out there right now probably! Those lucky creatures !!!!!
It's hard to bring words your way that will truly comfort.
Your poem is lovely.
