Adorned

Adorned

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Adorned

let those

old clothes fall,

and after hitting the dirt;

we should then only by adorned

in something so much

more fetching to the eyes

I agree with Michael, we need to look beyond a persons outside and view the person themselves. Look at their heart. Don't judge a book by it's cover, comes to mind.

Very good.

james, this poem is certainly open to specific interpretation, but what it tells me is the idea of
human relations, to be able to look at another indivisual and see beyond race, creed, gender, religion, etc, your words draw the heart to positive pondering, and that in itself has an uplifting effect, thus,
the metaphorical meaning leaves the reader with a sense of added knowlegde, brilliantly conveyed.

The beautiful adornment is flesh itself. If only Eve hadn't been such a temptress. I enjoy reading your work.
