String of Thought

String of Thought

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

String of Thought

with this string,

wrapped tightly 'round

my bony finger;

surely I'll be forced

to recall its meaning...

or lose the digit

in the deepest thinkings

How often have I tied a string around my finger to help me remember something and then for the life of me can't remember what it was I tied the string there to remember. I could have written a note and wrapped it around my finger. lol

Great job.

very much enjoyed this poem here, the way your thoughts flowed unbroken capturing specific emotion,
to have a string tied around the finger, the ultimate price of forgeting would end in certain pain, and whats great about this piece is the way your thoughts are open top metaphorical interpretation,
you capture what it means to stay aware in one's surrounding, dwelling thoughts to depth!
