Punching the Clock

Punching the Clock

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Punching the Clock

punch the clock,

show it no mercy;

because truly, it never felt

one ounce of pity for me...

with it's tellings of my

comings and goings;

it rightfully deserves

a mighty beating

I love this one. I can just imaginehow the clock maker would love to see this happen. He would be the richest person ever, because I truly believe everyone would have to have a new clock every day, maybe even two. Disposable clocks. that a person could throw against the wall and just reach in the bag and pull out another one. lol

Now, that's original! Glad I don't have to do THAT anymore, hehe.

Like the way you made the poem short and to the point. If a punchclock could talk, think of all the gossip it could spread.
