Swampy Messes

Swampy Messes

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Swampy Messes

taking flight,

knowning that what we know is,

truly nothing...

and as we gaze upon the earth,

from such great heights;

we will know something better than

tame walking on the surface

of our lame old world;

so why must we briefly kiss

this vast gorgeousness, only to fall back

down towards cold-blue-wakenings,

and tomorrow's swampy messes

A pure metaphorical description here james, the imagery is alive and vividly
colorful, written as a mind expanding, expressive portrait showing a
knowledgable introspective awareness that draws the reader to a plane
of contemplation where understanding is key, loved this image as well,
cold-blue-wakenings," as well as "taking flight" as this poem sets the
readers thoughts in flight, i think this speaks of the planet people in general
as well as the indivisual, in fate, echoing the voice of downward spiral, mike
