Hungry Heat

Hungry Heat

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Hungry Heat

how might we go,

facing the flames head-on;

or maybe with fireproof suits...

'cause either way, I'd imagine,

we're gonna have to break

on through this wall of heat;

and that beast looks hungry,

as it licks its lips, thinking deeply,

of soft, ripe, pink, flesh!

james, this poem is a marvelous rendering, i think the free flow aspect
is splendid, speaks the thoughts of the writer with powerful effect,
"hungry heat" the title reflects on many aspects, the imagery is subtly
transporting, "wall of heat" pink flesh" i would have to say this writing
reflects the "beast of passion and how its personna might be revealed,
excellent written, has an emotional intention of mystery, keep it up, mike
