Ruffled Feathers

Ruffled Feathers

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Ruffled Feathers

in such a huff again,

because nothing went right;

fell and got bloodied on these

tired old knees tonight;

and before I could even make it home

I remembered that once there, I'd again be alone;

because noone wants to be with a blue bird, so I've always be told;

but it never hit so deep, until now that I witnessed it's true hold...

so when will enough be enough?

I guess it depends on what the blue bird means to you. Usually it stands for happiness...at least where I'm from. lol. Your incredible poem hits on some valid points and feelings. You question, when will enough be enough? When the head Blue Bird comes back to kick some butt!! Sorry, I lost it there. I really enjoy your style. Even when you have a deep write, I always find something sweet about it!

When you decide to no longer sing the blues, in changing the tune and melody to your song. So choose to fly without ruffled feathers, Shelly
