Ripe Ruins

Ripe Ruins

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Ripe Ruins

digging around, but,

this sand offers nothing;

only these old bones speak loudly

of some forgotten sad world...

that once had such hope and light;

what happened to the skeleton's smile
