Flowers

Flowers

A Poem by James K. Blaylock
"

The very first time, I put pen to paper this is what come out... Yes, this is my very first poem ever. jkb

"

Flowers

So many places so many faces that
I will never know
But that's the way things seem to go
The earth keeps turning and the sun
keeps burning
And the flowers all will grow

Finally, on page 39, I find it. I saw your youtube video with you reading flowers, and I liked it, so I went through 39 pages to find it, just to review it, haha. Anyway, very first poem? Wow, that's amazing for a very first poem. The punctuation could use some work, but I have a feeling because it is your first work, you don't want to change it any. At least, that's how I feel about my first works; reviews on it are nice, but I don't want to change it, I keep it the way it is to look back on it to see how I've grown as a writer. Oh, I'm sorry, I seem to be babbling a bit. This was a very good poem, and I enjoyed you reading it. Keep up the good work son!

James, I'm not sure what to say about this. The depth of this piece is furthered by it's succinctness (is that even a word??) LOL At any rate, this piece is very nice, and I think it's perfect for the contest you've entered it for. (That's how I saw you wrote it)

Nicely done...and your style shines through once again.
