Count Your Chips

Count Your Chips

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Count Your Chips

played me like, I was some
form of two bit sucker

fooled I was, by that one armed breaker
then rolled the ivory bones... snakes

so spinning I went, on the roulette
losing all the while

luck would have no piece of me
and I cashed in my chips... wiser and most aware
