Nightmares Remembered

Nightmares Remembered

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Nightmares Remembered

when I was really young
with my age unknown,
(even to me)

I remember thinking that
my dad was indeed a nut-case...
(monster-man)

although I still loved him dearly,
and wished him to only be proud
(go figure)

he remains a nightmare parent,
even now to this sad day
(even if he's so far away)

At least you got a good poem out of him. Sorry to hear about this, it really breaks my heart. I don't know why this had to happen but your Heavenly Father loves you always! I'm sure your poem barely touches on the pain involved. You let the reader in on a sad subject...very honest and well written.
I hope someday he comes to his senses.
