Another Burnt Love

Another Burnt Love

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Another Burnt Love

as you kiss her, make sure
to whisper those sweet nothings

she has such a faith in you, you know

but you choose to, warp it,
with many lies

care for the wounds that you cause, never
you've other women to see...

ones who won't cry you rivers
nor get in your head with grief

now you've burnt yet another poor heart

If you play with words of fire in lies you always get burnt, it comes back to haunt yah!
Whispering sweet somethings in her ear, the one that loves you, and the one that does a play on words.
