cotton candy sky

cotton candy sky

A Poem by Two Edged Rose
"

a sunset is all you may see, but there is so much more to it than that. this is about a girl that i was very close with. we had a falling out, and i wrote this.

"

Cotton candy sky

sparkles in your eye.

You are such a lie

and I’m wasting my time.

Cotton candy blue

oh my what a view.

If only you knew

but you have not a clue.

Cotton candy pink

I’ll forever sink.

I give you a wink

but you don’t even blink.

Cotton candy friend

my heart do you bend

and I willed to defend

you to the very end.

You are full of fluff

I don’t mean to bluff

what we had was tough

and I feel too cuffed.

Obligation to admit

a love that doesn’t fit.

Author's Note

Two Edged Rose
i need help with the fifth stanza. the last two lines have i pondered over for months and i cannot seem to come to a conclusion on what they should be without breaking the rhyme scheme. if anyone reads this and could give input, that would be great.
