Co-exist

Co-exist

A Poem by twixbubbles
"

Fire and Water

"

two ancient enemies

since the dawn of time

an everlasting war through the years

no end in sight.

With a spark of fire and the flow of the sea

two deadly elements will soon surely meet

The fire is bright and illuminates the sky

the red, yellow, orange flickering by

The wind sings its song ,coaxing the flame to dance

but then the flame creeps along, lighting up the land.

Colourful

Charming

Alluring

The flame’s tiny tongue licks your skin, the fire burning bright

the world disappears around you with a great crimson light

And then it’s buddy, smoke, emerges floating through the night

it’s hard to tame a flame, it’s hard to cease it’s fight.

Stubborn

Lethal

Aggressive

But the water is rather different you see

the enchanting gracefulness of the sea

a kingdom of species, a realm unknown

it’s a beautiful place that has a world of its own

Mysterious

Beautiful

Captivating

The oceans call you, beckoning like Sirens

you float in the waters with a deafening silence

it’s claws clutch your lungs and your breath starts to slow

you struggle as it pulls you into the dark depths below

Cold

Dark

Frightening

These elements are quite different you see

both beautiful, graceful, careless and free

nevertheless they can be eminently lethal

when under influence they can be sinister and evil

With a spark of fire and the flow of the sea

these two deadly elements will soon surely meet

And who will win? It’s clear to see,

For two so alike, they’ll fight endlessly

and in the end they will destroy each other eternally.

One cannot exist without the other
