A Poem by oubliette
"

The JPF 2003 was my moms tag line. It is when she wrote this piece about raising our children and the only way to that is through love, listening, and time well spent with them

"

Before we can discuss a new beginning we must first understand why this era is ending. When did the old start to crumble and fail, was it when our youth gave up and began going to jail?

Have our children lost their self-respect because there is lack of parental dialect. Have we lost the faith instilled in us? Do our youth have guidance they can truly trust/

It is time to start over, it is time for a new day. Clarity begins at home it is the only way. Our children need us to stand by their side. Instead of working 2 jobs to buy a new ride.

Giving them pagers and cell phones instead of being at home. You’re so busy running you’re leaving your children alone. Sending them instead of taking them in your car. Do you really know where your children are?

Your need for greed sends you to the gambling boat. Then you hang your head low when your kids go on dope. If you talk and listen to them instead of the T.V. news, you won’t be those worried parents crying the blues.

Don’t send them, go with them, show them what to do. You take control instead of them controlling you. If they can see you, be with you and know you, you are more than a parent, but also a friend, this era of uncertainty will end and a positive era will begin.

It is up to us.
