Somebody to Love

We all need someone to love.

 

I put my thoughts onto this page,

Im no wise man, nor am I sage

All I ask of the heavens above,

Is please give me somebody to love.

Someone to hold and to protect,

Someone whom I can respect.

When I am all alone at night,

Give me someone I can hold tight.

I want someone whose smile can light up my day,

And when the demons come, she’ll scare them away.

I want someone to have and to hold,

Someone to take care of when we get old.

And if it’s wrong to want love and affection,

Well, I’m a sinner, don’t expect perfection.

Do I need to say it? Perfection! The description, the adjectives, it's just so...real! Now that I've found you, I can't stop reading your writing.
