Anguished

Anguished

A Poem by Cheyenne

My heart beats faster and faster with each step I take.
I am running way.
Or trying to at least.
He keeps coming for me.
I don't think I can escape it this time.
I don't know what will come of me if I do it.
Hurt, hatred, misery? Maybe?
Freedom I think.
There is only one way out of this.
One choice I can make.
And i will do it tonight.
Right now.
And as I fall into his grasp,
I will thank him, and suffer with the fate I made for myself.
In his arms, he carries me home.
Where all the anguished souls lie.
And I lie there with eternal suffering.
