Rejoice in Spring

Rejoice in Spring

A Poem by Paris Hlad

 Rejoice in Spring

The dark is done!

The light has won!

The greens and azures cling

Like painted lovers to a bliss-

Let Earth rejoice in spring!

It is a gift, unmatchable,

The happy sun’s bright plume,

Raised high above the eyes below,

For which the blossoms bloom

Therefore, shouts ring

In praise of spring "

A far-flung joy in all

That wakes the dreamer in the man

To whom such gifts befall

The dark is done,

The light has won;

Rejoice in everything

Whose new day comes

But in a bud -

Let Earth rejoice in spring!
