Closed doors

Closed doors

A Poem by twinklestar

A heart is like a closed door.
Won't open up until your sure of whats on the other side.
Bound with chains so tight and riddled with locks.
Many a time you have heard that persistent knock on the door.
Don't open it... not yet.
Till the day you are certain the knock on the other side is the "one".

skepticism and reserve at its best. you will not cross the threshold until i am sure of you...i am looking through the peephole and listening.

tell me something that will convince me to open my heart.

second line should be "until you're sure of what's on the other side"

but this is condensed nicely and impactful with its bluntness.
