Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat,

where can you be?

Down in the basement?

Up in the tree?

 

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat,

Give me a clue.

I've been looking

all day for you!

 

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat,

are you under the bed?

Up in the attic?

Inside the shed?

 

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat,

I've been looking so hard.

You're not in the house

and you're not in the yard.

 

Oh, Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat,

there you are,

curled up on the hood

of Mommy's new car!

 

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat,

I've missed you so-

and now off for a nap

we both will go!

Author's Note

This poem was inspired by my cats, whose favorite place to snooze is atop my car! I do hope you enjoyed the poem and I look forward to your comments!
