Written to the Love of My Life

Written to the Love of My Life

A Poem by Becca Hale

The silver floats just millimeters over my skin
I feel the sadness coming out from within
I can’t wait any longer
My feelings still get stronger
The blade slips
The blood drips
But the pain is something I don’t feel
Just as if it isn’t real
I sit and wait with my sobs still going
Till the blood stops flowing
I fall to the ground
No one hears the sound
I’m all alone in the place
As I slowly die with grace
I’m soon to be with you
Then my love for you will be true.

This poem isn't true, and I would never cut myself. With the exception of doing it to be with the guy I love. I love him! But I don't want to die yet...
