A Poem by Alicia
"

I'm NOT trying to discriminate towards any group at all in this poem. Just a poem [:

"

It's a waste of a face when youre fake;
better pick up your pace; it's a race
to the place where you can follow the trends
to find some fake friends, but youve got to pretend.
Now what's the use in that ?
Artificial ways to get through your days.
Maybe next you'll go gay-just for some attention.
You want them to believe that you've got cuts under those sleeves,
but you're just way too weak to stand the loss of skin .
You just want to fit in.
And you always wonder why people just pass you by,
never giving a second glance; you just wanted another chance .
Well hey now you've got the attention once your name is mentioned.
Suicide-
a private homicide .
Slowly being murdered on the inside.
Loss of identity, now that's a crime.
But hey, you're no victim.
Paint on your face, eyeliner covers your eyes;
the clothes and the hair, it all covers the lies.
You let them live your life;
well hey, they took it too.
But theres NOTHING you can say
because YOU refused to be you.

I like this.
It's a bit of a rant about personal matters (maybe concerning kids at your school), I can tell, I relate. A lot of people do not behave in their own manners, or have even yet to find themselves.
This is well done, you have a good point, made very clear.
