Vow of silenceA Poem by Sarah
As I sit out in the dead of night,
My soul stirs, Not of all good things, Tonight its of what I did wrong. It's the thought of eternal silence, Like holding your breath under stagnant water Hearing nothing but your heart, How fragile your life can be, One attempt to breath and your lungs fill with fluid, Hold your breath and live, Some say silence is a threat, I see it as warm as a dear friend. One that won't leave you One that surrounds you I a thick fog, Lingering around, But yet, Silence can be death's best friend, Causing life to get confusing, Disturb what was normal logistics, Flipping the basic to complex, Like an unfavorable word problem, In all actuality it's simple, But or minds take it and add extra steps, Causing your head to hurt, And hours of frustration that make you crazed Silence is a blessing and a curse, Right now for me.... I'm not sure... Let me take a vow of silence and find out... © 2015 Sarah |
