Wasting time in the Douglas Lake LaRue Library

Wasting time in the Douglas Lake LaRue Library

A Poem by Jamie
"

I'm in Northern Michigan at the University of Michigan's Biological Station on Douglas Lake. Here's something I came up with while zoning out in the library next to the lake.

"

Sexual Behavior of Penguins
Atlas of Avian Hematology
Practical Malariology
My Beaver Colony

I tried to pick random books on the shelf
but the ones with the largest type
on their spines
seem to relate to the things
that I am always drawn to subconsciously:

Sex
Blood
Death
and of course,
Sexual innuendo.
