With a reason to engage with a smile,
he (finally) reconciles breathing
“I’ve seldom sought tears
inspired by pavement
used to circumvent the effects of the sun”
with his admiration of the prettiest daisies
until her memory’s opposed …
… and the prior flowers fade away
