Heather/December (Lines 1-9)

Heather/December (Lines 1-9)

A Poem by Orlando G Gonzales III
"

From the collection "Saldado Instrúyete”

"
Her fragrance
(the familiar guise adjusted to favor the retention of screams)
belies the willingness to categorize requests
to resist the need to withdrawal
before she’s reached the door
replying
“it’s coincidence I’m yearning for” …
… defining her presence without salvaging regret
as she (finally) pretends to let him turn away
