Wasted Wishes

About someone who sent me the wrong message and I feel for them when they never really felt the same about me.

I wasted too many 11:11 wishes on you,

I wasted too many hopes and dreams,

I wasted so much time thinking about you.

But, no, all you did was send the wrong signal,

when all along you only had eyes for her,

the girl who's been in a steady relationship... for a year.

You'll probably never realize how we could have worked out,

how we would have been happy together,

how you missed a great person who was interested in you.

But someday, if you do realize what you missed,

I will have moved on to better things,

and simply turn my back and walk away.

Please tell me what you think, this was one of those sudden inspiration poems that came to me when working on to-do's, but I think it captures my feelings quite well.
