A Moment of PeaceA Poem by turtlegirlluverWhat I heard and saw while sitting around a camp fire while camping one night.Soft acoustic guitar music flows gently to my ears As I gaze upon a majestic beast of fire The warm glow illuminates my face As my body is fed by it's warmth.
The sound of crickets and birds add white noise throughout the night And the sound of giggly children travel by As I turn my eyes to the heavens thousands of bright stars fill my vision As I am reminded of how small we really are.
As sparks fly from the fire, I turn my gaze back and am memorized by its beautifully dangerous state
A voice now adds to the song As the guitar cords slowly gain volume The sweet song travels to my ears And fills me with an uncommon moment of peace. © 2009 turtlegirlluverAuthor's Note
